What is the Portugal Golden Visa?

Eligibility Criteria
Principal Applicant must:
- Be over 18 years old
- Have a clean criminal record.
- Provide proof of investment funds and their legal source.
- Hold valid health insurance covering in Portugal.
- Commit to maintaining the investment for at least five yeas.
Family inclusion
The Portugal Golden Visa program allows inclusion of:
- Spouse
- Dependent Children
- Dependent Parents over 55 years of age.
All family members receives the same residency rights as the main applicant.
Residency requirements
The Golden Visa requires minimal physical presence:
- 7 days in Portugal during the first year
- 14 days in each subsequent two-year periods.
Path to Citizenship
After five years of maintaining the investment and meeting residency requirements, applicants can apply for Portuguese citizenship, subject to basic language proficiency and other criteria(s).
